Kava Construction is a Fargo, ND based Grain elevator service and millwright company. They approached Grain Designs when they started an office renovation to help supply reclaimed wood feature wall materials as well as industrial office furniture that make a bold statement in their office.
Kava specializes in the agriculture construction industry building and restoring grain elevators across the midwest. We integrated elements of their heavy industrial design into the conference table, reception desk, and office desk. The conference table in particular is draws inspiration from towering grain elevator legs with x-brace steel reinforcements. The base of the industrial conference table is inspired by elevator shoots that move grain while red accents throughout the project showcase the Kava Construction Inc brand colors.
The angled executive desk was custom built for the space with specific details provided by the client including a live edge desk top. Both desks feature solid hardwood desk tops, industrial hot rolled steel bases, and laser cut metal signage doubling as privacy panels. Finishes include dark stained wood, raw metal or steel painted in the brand colors, as well as backlit signage to showcase their brand.
This project for Kava construction mixes reclaimed wood sourced from the Grain Elevator Elevator in Superior, WI with industrial metals and solid hardwoods for a comprehensive office design. Inspiration is drawn from the agricultural elevator industry while materials were chosen to compliment the robust materials used by Kava Construction.
