Junk Market & Junk Bonanza Preview

by Phil Bruckbauer

With the coming of September, so too comes the influx of street fairs and market events for the Grain Designs team.  This year has proven to be no different, as we have attended four events in the last 3 weekends! Due to the fact that we carry very little inventory, we have been furiously trying to build new and unique products for each weekend show, while still keeping up with our day-to-day custom orders and meetings. Today I am going to showcase just a few of the new products that can be found at either of the shows we are at this weekend; The Eco Chic Junk Market (Fairground – West Fargo, ND) and Junk Bonanza (Canterbury Park – Shakopee, MN).

The Junk Bonanza show started today (Thursday) and continues through Saturday at Canterbury Park.  Friday and Saturday hours are 9am-5pm.

Junk Market begins Friday evening with an early bird shopping but the real shabang starts Saturday 9-5pm and continues Sunday 10am-4pm.

New and Featured Products:

Patina Copper coffee table- this is not 100% a new product, but this one does have a slight variation from some of our previous copper tables in that we used a mixture of two different color patinas in order to create this custom copper table.

Console tables- Console or sofa tables with a slightly taller height have been increasingly popular for us this season so we decided to create a few new options. A majority of the bases are welded steel tube, and the tops vary in color and finish.

Hand hewn bench- this hand hewn timber, once a support beam for a now extinct factory, has been planed, sanded, stained, and finished to become a one of a kind modern industrial bench.

Tin signs- these stamped brick tin signs are perfect simply as wall décor or as a magnetic backboard to attach pictures, cards, and keepsakes to.

Rolling cart armoire/bar- we took this former pastry cart and gave it some new life by turning it into a rolling industrial armoire or bar cart.

Centerpiece/candle holders- varying in size and color, each piece is one of a kind, unique addition to any home.

I hope these new products have sparked your interest and if you’d like to order or reserve any of these items please email me at Phil@graindesigns.com! We hope to see you out and about at our events this weekend!
